Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced, creative, and detail oriented website project manager to join our team. You will work closely with our Account services, Creative, Growth, Content and CRM teams to deliver amazing websites we can all be proud of. Oftentimes building a website with Tempest is the first step in a long successful relationship with our clients, so creating a foundation built on positivity, trust, and clear communications is extremely important.
You are a great communicator and excel at planning and managing website project progress along with client expectations and needs. You are able to visualize and execute large scale website projects from start to successful end with diligence and passion. You are able to define requirements, identify opportunities as well as potential pitfalls, and maintain positive progress in a deadline driven working environment where success is always the goal. You are responsible for the delivery of amazing websites that exceed client expectations and set the standard for the digital travel and tourism industry.
You are confident in your ability to articulate project needs and timelines to internal team members and our important clients and their stakeholders. You are able to demonstrate empathy for our clients and your co-workers and deliver award winning caliber websites on time and on budget.

A day in the life of a Project Manager at Tempest
- Advance ongoing website project builds through communication with clients to gather requirements and understand their needs and goals
- Clearly communicate client needs and project requirements to internal teams
- Lead client calls that demonstrate our core products and features
- Set up and configure the content management system per project requirements
- Review web readiness with 3rd party APIs and the iDSS CRM for integration with the content management system
- Coordinate content migration and form integrations per project requirements
- Conduct content management system trainings with our clients
- Monitor, test and evaluate project progress with web developers to ensure front end web functionality and Creative design implementation consistency
- Collaborate with internal teams via Slack, Google Meet and email to ensure all timelines and goals are met for web projects
- Communicate with other vendors and 3rd party feature suppliers to implement new features on client websites
- Identify client opportunities for additional features or work within Tempest’s web, CRM, and marketing services.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues on client websites in production and in a live environment
- Document and track your time on various aspects of a web project and look for ways to optimize efficiency
Skills
- Experience managing multiple large scale, content & data driven website project builds.
- Professional communication style in email, phone and in person
- Ability to organize priorities in a fast paced and dynamic, client driven environment.
- Critical thinking skills with creative, detail and client oriented approach to proactive identification and resolution of issues
- Experience with Website Content Management Systems (CraftCMS,Wordpress, Drupal).
- CRM experience (Salesforce, Tourism Focused CRM experience a plus: iDSS, Simpleview, Ungerboeck)
- Knowledge of DNS domain registration and management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Apps for Business
- Proficiency in web based project management tools (Jira, DoneDone, Basecamp, etc)
- Proficiency with web analytics (Google Analytics)
- Proficiency with best practices for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Salary Range
$70,000 - $80,000 annually
